CLEARFIELD – The annual Halloween parade, which is being organized by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC), will be held Oct. 30 at the Clearfield Driving Park.
The parade will step off at 7 p.m.; however, line-up will begin at 6:30 p.m. The 2018 theme is “Nightmare with Nickelodeon.”
Organizers hope costumes will feature various Nickelodeon characters. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best costumes.
There is neither a cost, nor registration for participation. Participants should gather at the end of Stadium Drive between the grandstand and Weaver Street by 6:30 p.m.
The CRC, Kiwanis Club, Key Club and Woman’s Club members will organize the parade’s line-up. It will go around the Grove area and proceed up Stadium Drive.
The parade will take a right onto Park Drive and a left onto McBride Street. It will then proceed left onto Paddock Drive, left onto Park Drive and right onto Stadium Drive to return.
A pumpkin decorating contest will also be held during the event. Children, 12 and younger, are invited to decorate pumpkins and enter them at the judge’s stand.
Cash prizes will be awarded in two age categories, which are 6 years and younger and 7- to 12-year-olds.
Organizers would like to thank parade supporters, including the Clearfield Borough Council, Clearfield Borough police, Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department, Clearfield Fire Police, Clearfield EMS, the Clearfield Fair and Park Board, wOK!w, Clearfield Area Marching Bands, Clearfield Woman’s Club, CRC volunteers and the 2018 parade sponsor CBT Bank, a division of Riverview Bank.
