HYDE — After a bye week and a weather-related cancellation the past two weeks, the Clearfield Bison Junior Varsity football team finally took to the field on Monday night and came away with an 18-8 win over the visiting Huntingdon Bearcats.

After a scoreless first quarter, Jason Plubell got the hosts on the board with a 20-yard touchdown run.

The Bison added to their lead before halftime when Oliver Billotte tossed a 66-yard touchdown pass to Logan Firanski. Both 2-point conversion attempts, so the Bison took a 12-0 lead in to the half.

Clearfield ran the score to 18-0 on another Billotte long completion, this one a 55-yarder to Matt Pallo.

The Bearcats avoided the shut out with a 25-yard run and successful 2-point conversion, setting the final at 18-8.

The Bison (1-1) will travel to Central Mountain next Monday.
