CLEARFIELD – Three men accused of dealing methamphetamine and other drugs in unrelated cases were sentenced to state prison during colloquy court Tuesday.
Derrick John Graham, 29, of Clearfield pleaded guilty to felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and criminal use of communication facility and was sentenced by Judge Fredric J. Ammerman to six months to two years in state prison.
Graham was arrested after an encounter with Clearfield Borough police on April 29, 2017 near East Seventh Street.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Graham was questioned after he was seen in a vehicle sitting in a parking lot where suspected drug activity was occurring.
After speaking with him, police determined he was under the influence.
A search revealed he reportedly had six bags of marijuana, three bags of methamphetamine, an assortment of pills and drug paraphernalia.
A message on his phone confirmed that he had been arranging drug sales, police said.
Robert Lee Miller, Jr., 47, also of Clearfield, pleaded guilty to felony counts of possession with intent to deliver-methamphetamine, dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities and criminal use of communication facility as well as driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ammerman sentenced him to 21 months to five years in state prison.
Clearfield Borough police say on Sept. 18, 2017, a white truck was spotted with Miller driving it. Because of prior dealings with him, the officer was aware he had a suspended driver’s license. He then initiated a traffic stop.
Miller appeared to be under the influence and was taken into custody, according to the affidavit.
A search of his person uncovered $4,511 in cash, police said.
In his vehicle officers reportedly found over 10 grams of methamphetamine, 1.2 grams of the stimulant Pentylone and drug paraphernalia.
His phone had messages that appeared to be setting up purchases of meth, marijuana and Percocet.
William Patrick Donnelly, 36, of Philadelphia pleaded guilty to felony counts of criminal use of communication facility and delivery of a controlled substance in addition to misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
He received 35 months to six years in state prison.
Donnelly was arrested June 1 after a controlled purchase of methamphetamine from a confidential informant. He had 3.5 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine, according to this affidavit.
On Friday, Donnelly waived his right to a preliminary hearing in a new drug case, for which he is charged with a felony count of dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, a misdemeanor count of intentional possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as three traffic summaries.
His vehicle was stopped Aug. 22 in DuBois.
At that time, Donnelly was found to be carrying meth and $4,948 in cash, according to the report.
