State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an assault that occurred Sunday on Knox Dale Road in McCalmont Township. During the incident, a 32-year-old Punxsutawney woman allegedly grabbed another woman by the back of her head and slammed her face off the steering wheel. She was subsequently taken into custody and to the Jefferson County Jail for domestic violence.
- State police received a report about a theft that occurred between Aug. 16 and Aug. 18 in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed 11 road signs. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at 814-938-0510.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a theft that occurred Tuesday on Park Avenue Extension in Lawrence Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a black 24” Roadmaster bicycle from in front of a residence. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police received a report about a theft that occurred Tuesday at the Red Roof Inn in Lawrence Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took an amount of money from a male’s personal belongings in his rented room. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
