CLEARFIELD – Due to poor market conditions for mixed paper, Clearfield County’s recycling site, located at the county jail, will no longer be accepting mixed paper for recycling, effective immediately.

Mixed paper is still being accepted by the county’s other recycling vendors at the following recycling locations.

  • Curwensville (Curwensville Borough Garage)
  • Houtzdale (Woodward Township Municipal Building)
  • Kylertown (Cooper Township Municipal Building)
  • Luthersburg (Brady Township Municipal Building)

Any questions regarding what can and can’t be recycled can be directed to the Clearfield County Solid Waste Authority Office by calling 814-765-5149.
