CLEARFIELD – Middle school can often be a very difficult time in the lives of young girls.
Over the past three years, the Helping Hands Club has hosted an event to help change that at the Clearfield Area Junior-Senior High School.
On May 12, the club will again be hosting its BeYOUtiful Girls Day Seminar for the school’s sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. It will take place from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.
At this seminar, students are encouraged to be confident, to discover their passion, to set goals and to feel beautiful.
“Middle school can be a difficult time for many girls,” explains English teacher Emily A. Zimmerman.
“This seminar gives them the chance to spend the day with other girls and female mentors from the community.”
