HYDE — Postponement total continued to rise for the Clearfield Area High School baseball and softball teams Monday after overnight rains made the Bison Sports Complex diamonds unplayable.

Athletic director Robert Gearhart announced the Bison’s Mountain League game with Philipsburg-Osceola was moved to Saturday at 1 p.m. while the Lady Bison’s non-league contest against undefeated Glendale has been re-scheduled for May 2.

Rescheduling the seventh postponement of the season for the 3-1 Bison gives them three home games in as many days as they will host Central in league action Thursday and Bradford in a non-league contest Friday.

The 2-2 Lady Bison, who have seen eight games called off because of inclement weather, have three league games remaining on this week’s card, at Philipsburg-Osceola Tuesday and back-to-back with Central at home Thursday and at Martinsburg Friday.

Both Clearfield teams now face busy schedules of 16 games in less than four weeks.
