State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred on the Rattlesnake Pike in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged five traffic signs.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred March 20 on North 10th Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly broke the door to a residence. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Friday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a male allegedly stole merchandise from the store. Charges were filed through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Feb. 16 in Ringgold Township. During the incident, a male juvenile allegedly caused bruising to the lower back of another male juvenile.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Feb. 15 in Ringgold Township. During the incident, a male juvenile allegedly caused a scratch to the knee of another male juvenile.
- State police reported on an incident of DUI that occurred March 18 in the area of East Main and South Third streets in Reynoldsville Borough. A 27-year-old Reynoldsville man was stopped for operating an all-terrain vehicle on a highway not intended for ATV use. During the traffic stop, he was allegedly found to be under the influence. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred March 21 on Seitz Lane in Gaskill Township. During the incident, a known male and female allegedly engaged in a domestic altercation. Both were taken into custody and arraigned through the district court.
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Thursday on Filtering Plant Road in Gaskill Township. During the incident, two known juveniles allegedly removed a security camera. State police say the camera was connected to Verizon Wireless, which sent audio and video of the suspects to the victim’s cell phone. Facebook was then utilized to identify the suspects.
- State police reported on a drug violation that occurred at Sheetz on Friday in Punxsutawney. During a traffic stop, a passenger was allegedly found in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Wednesday or Thursday at the Wilcox Park in Jones Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the windshield of an Asplundh work vehicle. It was valued at $350, state police say. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 814-776-6136.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Thursday or Friday at the Wilcox Park in Junes Township. During the incident, someone allegedly damaged the passenger’s side window of an Asplundh work vehicle. It was valued at $300, state police say. The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 814-776-6136.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a disturbance at a residence in the 500 block of Spruce Alley. Upon arrival, police made contact with a male and female, who were involved in an altercation. The female allegedly struck the male in the nose. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police responded to a reported 911 hang-up call in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival, police made contact with a male and female. The female was allegedly assaulted by the male. He was taken into custody by police and charged with simple assault and harassment. He was lodged in county jail to await arraignment.
- Police received a report about the theft of a wallet and cell phone at Penn Highlands. Upon arrival, the victim told police he left his wallet and cell phone at the hospital and when he went back for them, both were gone. Police were assisted by hospital security and identified the male suspect through surveillance. Charges are currently pending at this time.
