MORRIS TOWNSHIP – A 32-year-old Morrisdale man will face charges for leading a state trooper on a high-speed pursuit.
According to Clearfield-based state police, a trooper attempted to stop the man’s vehicle Monday morning after a traffic violation on Route 2030 in Morris Township. However, he fled at a high rate of speed on multiple local roads.
He reportedly committed numerous traffic violations and caused damage to several properties. The pursuit was terminated after his vehicle exited the roadway, crashing into a fence at the intersection of the Allport Cutoff and Shiloh Road.
The man also caused damage to the state police vehicle when he backed his vehicle into the front of it, the report said. No injuries were reported as a result of the pursuit.
The man was detained at the Clearfield County Jail by the county’s Probation and Domestic Relations Departments.
Charges of fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person and numerous traffic violations will be filed through the district court in Kylertown.
