State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of terroristic threats that occurred Jan. 22 on Locust Street, Philipsburg. Upon arrival to the scene, police learned that a physical altercation occurred and involved a female punching another female. As a result, a male allegedly pulled his knife and punched the first female. Troopers took the male into custody and he is facing charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment through the district court; the female was charged with harassment. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Jan. 23 on Presqueisle Street, Philipsburg. During the incident, a known female allegedly punched the victim over a cell phone. She was charged with harassment through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police observed a juvenile male who was acting disorderly in Lower Witmer Park. Police spoke to the juvenile and had a guardian pick him up.
- Police investigated a reported hit-and-run accident. It was resolved without charges being filed.
- Police investigated a report about a juvenile male attempting to pass a fake $100 bill at Sheetz. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about trespassing on South Fourth Street. Police determined the individuals who were there were intoxicated. Police provided a transport home for two people.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with gaining access to a patient in a residential bathroom.
- Police assisted the Pennsylvania State Police and Lawrence Township police with a motorist who was fleeing from authorities. The motorist was later taken into custody.
- Police responded to a vehicle fire in the area of East Market Street. Officers used fire extinguishers to contain it until firefighters arrived at the scene.
- Police received a report about intruders who allegedly entered an apartment building in the 800 block of Daisy Street and damaged property inside. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Clearfield Borough police.
- Police assisted State Parole agents in taking a wanted male into custody. Police say that the male was found hiding in the attic area of the household.
- Police assisted emergency personnel with gaining access to a residence on Linden Street. It was discovered that the male had fallen and was unable to unlock the door. Officers spoke to the male through the door and received instructions on how to gain access to the residence.
- Police investigated a minor vehicle accident in Buck’s Pizza parking lot.
- Police assisted Lawrence Township police in arresting a male who was reportedly threatening people as well as officers.
- Police received information about an assault that reportedly had occurred in the past. Officers forwarded the information to the appropriate police agency, as the incident did not occur in the borough.
- Police received a report about a neighbor dispute on Spruce Street. Police informed both parties to leave each other alone.
Lawrence Township
- Police reported on a hit-and-run accident that occurred Wednesday in the parking lot at the Sapp Bros. Truck Stop, Clearfield. According to police, a truck struck a parked tractor-trailer belonging to a Clearfield male. Then, it left the scene. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police reported on a DUI/drug violation that occurred Tuesday in the Family Dollar parking lot, Clearfield. According to police, a driver was to be passed out inside his vehicle. Upon making contact, police determined the driver was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance. Police say he was also in possession of multiple drugs and drug paraphernalia; his passenger was also in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges will be filed against both males in the future.
DuBois City
- Police observed a dark-colored Dodge sports utility vehicle parked near Get Go. When contact was made with its driver, he told police he was meeting people there for work. He explained that they were from out of town and ride together. Police confirmed the information and cleared the scene.
- Police received a report about a physical domestic dispute in the 100 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival, police made contact with a woman who stated her husband had assaulted her. Police observed redness and swelling around her neck with a scrape; there was also a laceration on her wrist and redness around her face. When police spoke with her husband, he admitted they had engaged in an altercation but claimed he was defending himself. Police arrested Matthew Gallahan and he was arraigned on charges. Gallahan was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.
- Police received a report about an alarm in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival, police didn’t locate any indications of forced entry and everything was secured. Police attempted to contact the owner with negative results.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment. According to police, a female said her ex always engages in an argument with her when he comes to pick up his daughter. She was advised to make her custody exchanges in a neutral, public place.
