CLEARFIELD – A 28-year-old Curwensville man, Derrick Graham, is wanted for his failure to appear at Criminal Call on Jan. 11, announced District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. on Monday.
On June 6, 2017, Officer Mitchell Klender of the Clearfield Borough Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Graham.
Graham was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, F, five counts; criminal use of communication facility, F3; possession of a controlled substance, M, five counts; use/possession of drug paraphernalia, M; and public drunkenness, S.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 29, 2017, officers were dispatched after a report about several people smoking marijuana around a vehicle in a church parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers observed that the individuals appeared nervous and also detected the odor of marijuana. At the scene, contact was made with Graham, who was allegedly under the influence of a controlled substance.
Police were advised that Graham was wanted on two active warrants. He was subsequently placed into custody and searched.
The search yielded various controlled substances, plastic baggies, a cellular phone and U.S. currency, according to the affidavit. Graham was transported to the Clearfield County Jail.
At the jail, Graham was interviewed regarding the various controlled substances. He admitted to both using and selling them and consented to a search of his cellular phone.
Upon further investigation, it produced various conversations about drug activity, police said.
A preliminary hearing was held July 19, 2017, at which time all charges were held to court. On Jan. 11, Graham failed to appear at Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Graham is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 11 inches tall. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
