CURWENSVILLE – The Curwensville Lady Golden Tide basketball team will raise funds in memory of a former player on Wednesday.
The team will host the West Branch Lady Warriors during the Katrina Seaburn Memorial Game at 6:30 p.m. at the Curwensville Area High School.
Raffle and 50/50 tickets will be sold at the game. All proceeds will benefit the Katrina Seaburn Memorial Scholarship Fund.
According to the event poster, Seaburn was important to the girls’ basketball program until her graduation in 2013.
Seaburn went on to attend Clarion University and to receive her Bachelor’s degree in business accounting. She also earned a minor in finance.
“Tragically, we lost our former teammate to domestic violence in March 2017,” the poster says. “We are dedicated as a team to help keep her memory alive.”
The girls’ basketball team will present a check to Tammy Seaburn after the game.
