State police at DuBois

  • State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Tuesday or Wednesday in a driveway along Lines Road in Brady Township. During the incident, someone allegedly used an axe or hatchet to damage two mailboxes belonging to the victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.

State police at Philipsburg

  • State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Tuesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 51-year-old Philipsburg woman allegedly placed a bag of cheese sticks in her coat pocket. She exited the store without paying for them; she was stopped by an employee and detained for state police. The bag of cheese sticks was valued at $2.99, state police say. Charges will be filed against the woman through the district court.
  • State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Tuesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a female allegedly took merchandise without paying for it. She was charged and arraigned through the district court.
  • State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Nov. 7 on Hemlock Street in Rush Township. During the incident, a known female allegedly made unauthorized charges to the victim’s checking account.
  • State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Tuesday at Weis Market in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 22-year-old female allegedly put several items in her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying for them.
  • State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred between Dec. 6 and Tuesday on South Fourth Street in Rush Township. During the incident, someone allegedly trespassed on property and removed a trail camera. The trail camera was mounted in the corner of an open field. State police are continuing their investigation at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
  • State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred Nov. 13 at the Philipsburg-Osceola Senior High School. During the incident, two known juvenile males allegedly stole the victim’s Beats headphone.

Lawrence Township

  • Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communication that occurred Tuesday at the Clearfield County Jail. During the incident, a known inmate allegedly has been having constant unwanted contact with a female. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
  • Police responded to a single-vehicle crash Tuesday on the Rockton Mountain Highway in Lawrence Township. According to police, a DuBois male was traveling west and attempting to pass another vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. He lost control of his vehicle and then it went into the median. Police say his vehicle sustained minor damage; the male wasn’t injured in the mishap. Towing services assisted police at the scene. Police will cite the male for the crash.
