CLEARFIELD – Fall festivities will soon fill the streets of downtown Clearfield.

The seventh annual Clearfield Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and Fall Festival will be held Oct. 14. A Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will also be held in conjunction with the festival.

The events are being hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).

Events will get under way with the Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K through the streets of Clearfield. Participants must register by Sept. 30 to be guaranteed a race T-shirt.

Day-of registration will be from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m., and the race will start at 8:30 am. Visit www.discoverclearfield.com for more information.

Following the race, the Fall Festival will take place from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This admission-free, family-friendly event will fill Market, Locust and Third streets and features something for everyone.

Festival-goers will be able to enjoy their favorite fall foods while also mingling with more than 100 talented artisans.

Artisans will display and sell an array of works from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces.

Additionally, many downtown businesses will be open to showcase fall sales.

Live entertainment will take place in front of the Clearfield County Courthouse, and kids will be able to “Chalk-Up Clearfield” by designing their own square on the sidewalk.

There will be a lot of other games, face painting and fall activities for kids throughout the festival. The Toon Town Klowns will provide entertainment for kids all day.

Festival-goers will also be able to explore the Daughter of Darkness Vietnam War truck.

During the festival, the fourth annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

It will take place in and around the Third Street parking lot with day-of registration from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. The registration fee is $10.

The Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic/Animal Welfare Council will host the “Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade” at 11 a.m. in the Express Cafe parking lot.

Pets must be leashed as well as current on vaccines. Animals should not be forced to wear costumes that cause any discomfort or injury.

Pet owners are invited to come in costume, too. Prizes will be awarded, and there will be treats for all pets. Participation is free.

Spanky’s Courthouse Cafe will also sponsor a Taco Eating Contest during the festival.
