Under the direction of Tiffany Gump, the Elk County Council on the Arts Summer Theater Camp is in the midst of a week of singing, dancing and acting.
All of the activity is to prepare for the performance of Honk! JR. It will be held at the St. Marys Area High School Carpin Auditorium at 7 p.m. June 30.
This delightful adaptation of the beloved fable and the award-winning musical is a heart-warming celebration of what makes us special.
Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk! JR. will treat audiences to equal amounts of laughter and tears.
Based on Hans Christian Andersen’s The Ugly Duckling, Honk! tells the story of an odd looking baby duck, Ugly, and his quest to find his mother.
Soon after Ugly is born, he is seduced away by a wily cat that wants to eat Ugly for dinner. Eventually, Ugly manages to escape but has no idea how to return home.
The performance is open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. Visit www.eccota.com or call 814-772-7051 for more information.
