State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment/trespass that occurred Monday on East Plank Road in Port Matilda Borough. During the incident, a woman allegedly sent text messages and made calls to the victim after being advised to stop. She also went to the residence, which is posted as private property, according to the report. Charges will be filed through the district court.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about a firearms violation that occurred Nov. 15, 2016 at Mahaffey Hardware and Supply. A 49-year-old Burnside man allegedly attempted to purchase a rifle, which was denied after a PICS check. State police said the PICS check indicated the man was prohibited from purchasing a firearm. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of theft that occurred June 14 at the Get Go Gas Station in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly entered the store and requested change for a fake $100. They received the change and then left the store. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to a report about a vehicle that had been parked and left running on East Pine Street. Upon arrival, police located the vehicle and determined it was unoccupied. Police made contact with the owner who stated that they must have forgotten to turn off their vehicle.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment. According to police, a female was sending unwanted text messages to another female. Police spoke to the suspect and advised her to cease contact.
- Police responded to a report about counterfeit money being presented at a local business.
- Police are investigating an alleged incident of harassment that occurred on Elk Avenue.
- Police handled a parking complaint along Boyer Street.
- Police reported that a vehicle was entered along West Second Avenue and change was removed from inside.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of burglary and criminal trespass on Nelson Road. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about lost, stolen or mislaid property at Snappy’s Convenience Store on the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway.
- Police received a report about a child custody issue. It was resolved by the parents and the child was turned over to their mother per a court order.
- Police received a report about a possible endangered, missing person. It was listed as an unfounded incident by police.
- Police conducted a traffic stop and allegedly determined the driver to be under the influence. Charges are to be filed pending blood test results.
