BROOKVILLE – After proposing a very detailed community support program and outlining plans to manage the highest level of regulatory compliance, Cresco Yeltrah (CY) was awarded a cultivation license on Wednesday as part of the Pennsylvania Compassionate Medical Cannabis program.

The awardees of the state’s very stringent application process were announced Wednesday by the Department of Public Health.

The application was submitted by The Hartley family, life-long Pennsylvania business owners and community leaders that partnered with the nation’s leading multi-state medical cannabis operating company.

Cresco Labs combines strategic licensing and product development with best in class cultivation and streamlined operations to create pharmaceutical-grade, precisely dosed, culturally appropriate medical cannabis products.

“We are thrilled to be selected as a provider in this program and look forward to providing medical relief to patients across Pennsylvania,” said Charlie Bachtell, Cresco Yeltrah’s co-founder.

“We plan to be the state leader in this industry by manufacturing the highest quality product, providing caring service to the patients and giving back to our home community,” he added.

CY will develop a cultivation facility that will grow and harvest condition-specific strains of medical marijuana and produce non-invasive delivery methods to qualified patients.

Through sophisticated extraction methods, the facility will produce pharmaceutical-grade oral sprays, sublingual digestible tablets, transdermal patches and other form of cannabis oil to provide users with a consistent, controlled dosage.

CY’s brand name products will be available at dispensaries across the state to patients that have been physician certified with any of the 17-approved medical conditions.

A strong commitment to both the patient and Pennsylvania community is what helped differentiate CY’s plan from other applicants, giving their proposal the second highest score out of over 175 applicants.

“It is our intention to set the bar on corporate citizenship by focusing on philanthropy, education and product development and research,” said local business owner and Cresco Yeltrah co-founder Trent Hartley.

Renovation will begin on the 46,000-plus square feet cultivation facility in Brookville immediately with goal of Cresco Yeltrah products being first to market.

All growing will take place in secure and climate controlled environment to ensure consistency in harvests and prevent outside factors from affecting growth.
