CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging Inc., its Centers for Active Living and co-sponsors, Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield and Guardian Elder Care, are preparing for their annual Summer Celebration.
This year’s event for Clearfield County residents 50 and older will have a new venue and take on a different format. The event will be held on two days.
In order to accommodate the amount of people who attend this themed celebration each year, the event will held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 512 Arnold Ave., Clearfield, on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Consumers may choose which day they wish to attend, but can only attend one day.
This year’s theme is Old MacDonald’s Farm. Music will be provided by The Vagabonds. There will be plenty of door prizes, lots of fun and a delicious catered lunch, according to organizers.
The meal, catered by Shannon’s Catering, will feature roasted turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, Prince Edward’s Blend, tossed salad, buttered rolls, coffee, iced tea and topped off with coconut cream pie.
There is an admission donation of $6 per person. Admission tickets may be obtained in the following ways: picking them up at the Clearfield, Coalport, Karthaus, Kylertown and Mahaffey Centers for Active Living, at Colonial Courtyard of Clearfield’s business office at 1300 Leonard St., Clearfield, or at CCAAA Corporate Office at 103 N.
