Thomas Lee James Sr. went to be with the Lord, Friday, June 9, 2017 at his residence in Woodland.
Born Oct. 30, 1931 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Bert and Edith Graffius James.
He wed Celeste Pezzulla James, who survives at home in Woodland.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Tammy Hatton and her husband, Terry of Curwensville and Tracey L. James of Woodland and his son, Thad James and his companion, Tammy of Uniontown.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jared, Desarae, Sabrina, Sherri, Thomas and Harley and great-grandchildren, Henry, Azion, Riley and Justin.
Mr. James was the last of his generation. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Thomas L. James Jr. and Todd “Paco” James, a great-grandson, Holden James and a sister Eleanor Kephart.
Mr. James was a 1952 graduate of the Morris Township High School. He had worked for the former Piper Aircraft, Quehanna, until his retirement.
He then worked for Fullington, Clearfield, as a parts manager. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale, with the Rev. Brenda Libreatori officiating. Burial will be in the Shiloh Cemetery, Woodland.
Family and friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Tuesday at Strange & Weaver Funeral Service, Morrisdale.
