State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about a burglary and theft of items from a motor vehicle that occurred Saturday or Sunday on the Mahaffey-Grampian Highway in Penn Township. During the incident, someone allegedly took a Black Savage Axis 25-06 rifle; a black-barreled Remington shotgun with a camouflage-colored stock; a 440 Stihl chainsaw; and several hand tools. State police at Philipsburg
- State police reported a DUI/drug violation that occurred Sunday in the 100 block of Penn Five Road in Rush Township. According to state police, a 60-year-old woman was observed driving through a stop sign. When state police conducted a traffic stop, she was found to be under the influence of alcohol. Also, a search of her vehicle allegedly turned up several items of drug paraphernalia, a small amount of marijuana and about $1,000. She was subsequently arrested for suspected DUI and drug violations
- State police reported a drug violation that occurred June 1 in the area of Route 53 and Walton Street in Decatur Township. According to state police, a vehicle operated by a 26-year-old Philipsburg man was stopped for an expired registration. During the stop, he gave state police consent to search, and it allegedly turned up a drug and paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime between May 31 and June 1 at a Dagus Mines Road residence in Fox Township. During the incident, someone allegedly pulled 15 Tomato plants from the victim’s garden. Then, they fled the scene.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a male who was trespassing at the Sheetz store on Nichols Street. However, he had left prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police responded to a minor accident that occurred along River Road. According to police, the operator of a vehicle backed into another vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
- Police were notified about a car alarm activated inside the Clearfield Driving Park.
- Police were dispatched to the hospital after a male had his foot run over while attending a local event. Upon arrival, police found those involved had already collected the necessary information, and police action wasn’t needed any longer.
- Police received a report about a barking dog. Upon making contact with the caller, police found that its owners had returned home and the barking had subsided as a result.
- Police will be increasing their patrols in the area of Lower Witmer Park after several individuals had complaints about juveniles being disorderly.
- Police reported that marijuana was located inside a residence while new tenants were moving in.
- Police assisted a motorist along Leavy Avenue who had locked their keys inside their vehicle.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment from an East Market Street resident.
- Police received a report about a male and female who were engaged in an altercation on East Locust Street. Upon arrival, police found they were engaged in a verbal argument, and it wasn’t physical in nature.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a North Fifth Street resident. She was found to be OK.
- Police responded to a minor vehicle accident in the area of Graham Avenue and Bowes Street. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene.
Decatur Township
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run crash involving property damage on Bucket Line Road. Upon investigation, police found the vehicle parts at the scene were from a 2015-2017 Subaru. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of the driver of a Chevrolet Impala at True Value Hardware. The driver had reportedly pressed an emergency button. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival.
- Police were flagged down by a concerned pedestrian along the Old Erie Pike. The male was subsequently taken into custody while he was allegedly found to be under the influence and in possession of controlled substances. He was also found to have three outstanding warrants. Charges are currently pending at this time.
- Police received reports about suspicious activity along Logan Road. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about all-terrain vehicles on Red Schoolhouse Road. Police would like to remind residents that ATVs aren’t permitted on roadways.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a Protection from Abuse violation. The victim just wanted to have it documented, according to police.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person. When police checked on the male, they found he was OK.
- Police spoke with a female about harassment. However, police said the incident was not considered to be harassment.
