Ardella P. Lobb, 76, of Green Lane, Pa., and formerly of Philipsburg, Jamestown, NY and Dillsburg, died Thursday, June 1, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Quakertown campus, following a brief illness.
Born Aug. 10, 1940 in Philipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Edmund L. and Eva R. (Breth) Waring.
She attended Philipsburg High School and worked in various manufacturing industries. She was gregarious. She loved gardening and shopping, and she loved life. She will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by four children, Mark A. Lobb and his wife, Linda of Hewitt, Texas, Gregory L. Lobb of Masontown, W.Va., Susan K. Prosser and her husband, Scott of Ocala, Fla., and Timothy J. Lobb and his wife, Elizabeth of Jamestown, NY.
She is survived by four brothers, Luther P. Waring and his wife, Leah of Lewistown, DeWayne B. Waring and his wife, Emily of Allport, James C. Waring and his wife, Joan of Enola and Philipsburg and Roy F. Waring of Green Lane; a sister, Alice LeBlanc of Orange, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Janet Waring of Dover.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Holly Lobb, Stephen Prosser, Benjamin Prosser, Lyndsey Lobb, Amber Lobb and Sarah Prosser; two great-grandchildren, Gavin and Cooper Lobb; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald A. Waring and Edmund C. Waring; a sister, Rita Overmoyer; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Waring.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, Philipsburg. Burial will be in Mock’s Hill Cemetery, West Decatur.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
