CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.

He has identified the fugitive as Brandon Corman, 24, of Old Route 53, Kylertown.

Corman is wanted for failure to appear at a pre-trial conference May 18, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Oct. 18, 2016, Officer Levi Olson of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Corman.

He charged Corman with possession of controlled substance contraband by inmate, F2, and possession of a controlled substance, M.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Oct. 14, 2016, officers responded to the Clearfield County Jail due to a report about a weekend inmate who had attempted to smuggle in a controlled substance.

Upon arrival, Olson made contact with jail personnel who stated that Corman had concealed a controlled substance on his person in an attempt to smuggle it into the jail. Upon questioning, Corman allegedly admitted to committing the crime.

A preliminary hearing was held Oct. 26, 2016, at which time all charges were held to court. On May 18, Corman failed to appear at a pre-trial conference, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Corman is described as a Caucasian male who stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of Corman’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted by visiting the Clearfield County District Attorney Web site at “www.ClearfieldDA.org” and selecting “Report A Crime.”
