State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of simple assault that occurred Friday on Goshen Road in Goshen Township. According to state police, a male was fishing around the Trout Run area. When he returned to his vehicle to go home, another vehicle pulled up. An unknown male allegedly exited and punched him in the face. State police said the victim suffered a broken nose; he wasn’t able to identify the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Clearfield at 814-857-3800.
- State police reported a DUI crash occurred Sunday in the area of Route 879 and Route 219 in Grampian Borough. According to state police, two vehicles were traveling west on Route 879; a vehicle driven by a Grampian woman rear-ended another driven by a Grampian man. Upon impact, the man’s vehicle traveled off the roadway, striking several mailboxes and a utility pole before coming to a rest in the parking area of the Grampian One-Stop. Upon impact, the woman’s vehicle continued westbound until shearing off a utility pole. It then continued another 100 yards before coming to a rest in the southbound lane of Route 219. State police said after a verbal altercation, the man fled the scene but was located shortly after by troopers. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Upon further investigation, state police determined both drivers were allegedly under the influence and arrested them for DUI and related charges. State police were assisted by the Grampian and Curwensville fire departments, Curwensville EMS, PennDOT, Verizon and Penelec.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred sometime May 16-17 on Hall Road in Huston Township. During the incident, someone allegedly put diesel fuel in the gas tank of the victim’s sports utility vehicle. State police are continuing the investigation at this time.
- State police received a report about an incident of criminal mischief that occurred Friday or Saturday on North 11th Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, someone allegedly took mail from the victims’ mailbox and ripped it. They then left the mail on the sidewalk, and it was damaged by rain.
- State police received a report about an incident of public drunkenness that occurred Monday on Interstate 99 northbound at mile-marker 63.9 in Worth Township. According to state police, a male was walking along the interstate, and upon investigation, he was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. He was cited through the district court as a result.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police reported a UTV was stolen sometime between April 18 and Thursday at a campsite on Dickey Road in Clover Township. It is a dark green Frontrunner 700 without any distinctive damage or stickers. It has a push button to start and black diamond/slasher tires (one or two are flat). The UTV’s windshield was cut to fit the frame, and there are two takedown lights on the front bumper. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Punxsutawney at 814-938-0510.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Sunday at a Pansy Hollow Road residence in Beaver Township. During the incident, two males allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical. Charges were filed through the district court as a result.
State police at Ridgway
- State police received a report about an incident of retail theft that occurred Saturday at the Wal-Mart in St. Marys. During the incident, a 59-year-old Greensburg, Pa., woman allegedly removed $28.88 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a suspicious male on East Market Street. Police located the male who had active arrest warrants. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the jail on the warrants.
- Police were dispatched to the hospital for a male who was there for a mental health evaluation and then fled.
- Police responded to the River Road area where juveniles were near the dam and acting disorderly. Police located the juveniles and warned them of their actions.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a Turnpike Avenue resident after no one could make contact with him. Police found that the male was OK and not home.
- Police were called to Margaretta Street for a possible waterline break. Police arrived and located evidence of a break. The Clearfield Municipal Authority was notified and its personnel responded to the scene.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about suspicious persons. Upon arrival, police found they were leaving the premises.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of leased property. Charges are currently pending further investigation.
- Police received a report about an alleged camp burglary on Wallace Mine Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft by unlawful taking that occurred at another camp on Wallace Mine Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct on Legion Road.
- Police received a report about a residential alarm.
- Police received a report about suspicious persons in the Hillsdale area.
- Police received a report about a possible drunken motorist. Police later stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for DUI.
- Police responded to a report of a psychological emergency.
- Police responded to a single-vehicle accident on the Clearfield-Shawville Highway.
- Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute at the Lawrence Park Village.
- Police received a report about a lost or stolen license plate in the area of Daisy Street Extension.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred in the area of Daisy Street Extension.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of access device fraud in the area of Deacon Road. It remains under investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about suspicious activity in the area of Turnpike Avenue.

- Police attempted to stop a vehicle for a violation. It resulted in a pursuit and accident. Police said the suspect was taken into custody and charges are currently pending at this time.

- Police received a report about a 13-year-old who was allegedly consuming alcohol in Glen Richey.
- Police received a report about a vehicle allegedly being broken into at the Salvation Army.
- Police were requested to check the welfare of people who were sitting outside a local business.
- Police received a report about an erratic driver on Carbon Mine Road.
- Police received a report about an erratic driver on Coal Hill Road.
- Police received a report about disorderly juveniles at the Edgewood Apartments.
- Police received a report about a burglary in progress in the area of Mount Joy Road. It was determined to be unfounded.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle on Mill Road. However, police were unable to locate it.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a male who was lying naked in a doorway at an East Second Avenue address. According to police, he was lying “half in and half out” of a side apartment. Police initially called for an ambulance but cancelled after realizing the male was “just intoxicated and trying to get a tan.” Police requested that the male put clothes on because he was exposing himself to the public. He told police he had several beers earlier and was trying to warm up.
- Police received a report about loud music coming from McLoyd Terrace. Upon arrival, a male told police he’d just purchased the stereo system. When he turned it on, the volume was the whole way up. He told police he would turn it down.
- Police received a report about a fire alarm at Comfort Inn Suites. Upon arrival, police were advised by the fire chief that it was a false alarm.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault on a nurse at the Penn Highlands emergency room. Upon arrival, police spoke to the victim who stated he was punched in the face by a patient. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police received a report about an alarm at Timberland Credit Union. Upon arrival, police found everything was OK.
- Police received a report about a disturbance involving a male and female on East Washington Avenue. Upon arrival, police found the female had pushed the male several times. However, he didn’t want to press charges against her, and they parted ways.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault at the intersection of West Long Avenue and South Jared Street. The victim told police an unknown male attempted to physically assault him. Police searched for the male but were unable to find him in the area.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment by communications in the 100 block of North Second Avenue. A male told police two known people were harassing him and his girlfriend. Upon investigation, police found they were all harassing each other. Police warned them to cease their actions, or they would be arrested.
- Police received multiple reports about fraudulent calls. According to police, the caller claimed to be a representative from Penelec. They advised customers their electric will be shut off, because they haven’t paid their bills. The caller allegedly attempted to obtain personal information and payment. Police would like to remind residents not to provide any personal information out over the phone.
