WINSLOW TOWNSHIP – A 32-year-old Reynoldsville man, Jordan M. Bogacki, has been accused of trying to stab and threatening to kill two men who tried to help him after he wrecked his vehicle Sunday night in Winslow Township.

According to the report from state police at DuBois, a silver Mazda 3 operated by Bogacki was traveling west on Wayne Road. It was rounding a left-hand curve when it traveled off the north side of the roadway.

State police say its front-end/passenger’s side impacted an embankment and multiple tree stumps. As a result, it started spinning clockwise until coming to an uncontrolled final rest partially in the west lane.

A 71-year-old Reynoldsville man and a 29-year-old DuBois man arrived at the scene to assist Bogacki. However, he allegedly became combative and attempted to stab them with a knife.

Bogacki threatened to kill both men while holding the knife, state police say. He then fled on foot but was found and taken into custody without incident.  Bogacki also allegedly damaged the state police patrol vehicle while in custody.

Bogacki has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, DUI and related offenses.

Bogacki is currently lodged in the Jefferson County Jail on the charges in lieu of $25,000 straight bail, according to the report.
