Isabelle Savage Gordon, life-long resident of Clearfield, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, in Clearfield.
She was born March 14, 1916, the daughter of Dr. John Weaver Gordon and Helen Della Savage Gordon. She was descended from many of the early settlers of the county.
She lived at 10 N. Front St., for most of her life until moving to the Knickerbocker Villa three years ago. Â This past March, she celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by her family and friends.
She was a life-long member of The Presbyterian Church of Clearfield. She taught Sunday school for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Cyrus Gordon and her sister, Mary Helen Gordon Krebs.
She is survived by her three nieces, Helen Isabelle Krebs Barnes and her husband, Chester, Madge Krebs Drake and her husband, Bob and Rebecca Krebs Bast and her husband, Steve and several grand-nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with the Rev. Jimmy Hopper and Mr. Richard Barkley officiating. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
