William Monroe Gray, 80, of Luthersburg died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Born Dec. 22, 1935, he was the son of Ralph and Geraldine (Hutchens) Gray.
Mr. Gray was retired from CNG (Consolidated Gas Co.) as a corrosion technician.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, the East Fork Sportsman Club and the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen’s Club.
He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
In 1957, he wed the former Joan Carlson, who survives along with four children, William Earl Gray of Charlotte, NC, Diana Lynn Gray-Puit of Glen Richey, Susan Renee Gray of Salem and Bradley Thomas Gray of Luthersburg.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Brittany Gray of Pittsburgh, Andrew Robert Puit of Glen Richey, Bobbie Sue Gray and Amber Sue Gray of Salem and Sydney Marie Gray of DuBois and a brother, Gary Gray and his wife, Barb of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Robert Puit Jr.
Memorial services for Mr. Gray will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Glen Richey Fire Hall with the Rev. Joseph Gray officiating.
