State police at Clearfield
- State police investigated an incident of DUI Thursday on Route 453 near McDonald Road in Pike Township. Further, a Curwensville man was traveling and allegedly committed several traffic violations. He was allegedly determined to be under the influence of alcohol and was transported for blood/alcohol testing. Charges for DUI are currently pending through the district court, state police said.
Clearfield Borough
- Police responded to South Third Street and Ogden Avenue for a minor motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation police determined that a driver pulled out at a stop sign and into the path of an oncoming vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle. During the incident, someone allegedly removed a purse along with money and credit cards from a vehicle.
- Police responded to McBride Street for a burning violation. Police were unable to locate the violation.
- Police issued a ticket for a parking violation.
- Police handled a report over property and found the issue to be civil.
- Police were called to the area of Turnpike Avenue for a report about a person who was allegedly taking drugs and driving. The vehicle was later located in Curwensville Borough, police said.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged intoxicated person who was operating a vehicle on Route 879. Police located the operator who was determined to not be under the influence of a controlled substance.
- Police reported that drug paraphernalia was found in the Meadow Street area. Police would like to warn the public about the dangers of handling items of drug paraphernalia.
DuBois City
- A passerby observed an open door Wednesday at a business located in the 100 block of Beaver Drive. Upon arrival police found everything to be OK, and a key holder responded to the business to check again.
- On Wednesday a DuBois woman alleged that sometime within the past couple of days, someone damaged her vehicle. She told police that someone scraped its driver’s side while it was parked near the intersection of West Long Avenue and South State Street. Police are investigating the incident.
- On Wednesday a business owner reported a red pick-up truck, which was pulling a camper trailer, backed into his building located at the intersection of West DuBois Avenue and DuBois Street. He told police that it caused damaged to his building, and police are investigating the incident.
- Police were dispatched to check the welfare of a 73-year-old female Wednesday in the 400 block of South Church Street. Upon arrival police determined the female was OK and not in need of any assistance.
- Police were dispatched to check the welfare at a home Wednesday in the first block of East Weber Avenue. Police were told the resident didn’t have any heat in the home and children lived there. Upon arrival police found the heat was working and the children were OK. No further action was required of police.
- Police were dispatched to a disturbance Wednesday at the Hitching Post, where a male was allegedly causing a disturbance and refusing to leave upon request. Upon arrival police found the male was still causing a disturbance inside. Police made contact with an employee who wanted the male to leave and not return to the business. Police advised the male he was being asked to leave and to never return; if he returned, he would be arrested for trespassing. The male agreed to leave without further incident, police said.
- On Thursday a male reported to police the alleged theft of mail from mailboxes located in an apartment building in the 100 block of West Washington Avenue.
- Police were dispatched to an alarm Thursday at a business in the 600 block of South Main Street. Upon arrival police made contact with technicians who were working on the alarm.
- Police received a report about two males who were allegedly fighting Thursday in the West Long Avenue area. Upon arrival police found the two men were arguing over a 19-year-old daughter. Police also found both males were leaving the area.
- Police were dispatched to check the welfare of a female Thursday in the 300 block of West Washington Avenue. The caller told police she hadn’t been able to get in touch with the female all day, and she was concerned about her well-being. Upon arrival police found the female to be OK.
- On Thursday police were asked to contact a male in the 200 block of West Washington Avenue about an alleged theft that occurred at his residence. Police were told that someone allegedly stole $60 from a coffee can in his residence.
- On Thursday police were dispatched to the first block of North Church Street for a report about loud music coming from a downstairs apartment. Upon arrival police found the music had been turned down.
- Police were dispatched to the 200 block of South Brady Street on Thursday, where a male was at the caller’s address and refused to leave. Upon arrival of police, the male agreed to leave without further incident.
Sandy Township
- Police received a report about a false alarm at Hunting Titan on Wednesday.
- A 61-year-old Volant, Pa., man lost control of his vehicle in the area of Basse Terre and Caribbean Road in Treasure Lake on Wednesday. As a result, it crossed into the opposite lane of travel and impacted a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old Treasure Lake man. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 28-year-old DuBois woman was unable to stop in time to avoid hitting a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Reynoldsville girl that was stopped in traffic on Wednesday. Her vehicle then hit a vehicle driven by an 80-year-old DuBois woman who was stopped to make a turn. No injuries and moderate damage were reported, police said.
- As a 36-year-old DuBois woman was making a turn from Tozier Avenue onto Tipp Street on Wednesday, her vehicle hit another being driven by a 53-year-old DuBois woman who was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
- Officers were dispatched to a Treasure Lake residence for a domestic dispute on Wednesday. Further, a 26-year-old man and his 46-year-old girlfriend were allegedly involved in a verbal dispute. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday Wal-Mart employees alleged that on two, separate occasions, an unknown male took a cell phone out of the box and left the store without paying for it. Police are investigating the incident at this time.
- On Thursday Wal-Mart employees alleged that a 54-year-old Brockway woman made a purchase and went back into the store. She then put a box of razors into the bag with the other merchandise and went to return the razors for a fraudulent refund. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police received a report about a false panic alarm at a Wayne Road residence on Thursday.
