David M. Rodgers, 90, of Williamsport and formerly of Clearfield, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at Williamsport Home.
Born April 20, 1925 in Clearfield, he was the son of John A. and Byrde O. (McGarvey) Rodgers.
Mr. Rodgers had served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II.
He retired from County National Bank as vice president of commercial lending after 36 years of service.
He and his wife, Cleo, were members of Trinity Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
He was a member of the Clearfield Elks Club, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.
Mr. Rodgers enjoyed bowling, hunting, camping, golfing and visiting with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Cleo (Sipe) Rodgers, to whom he was married Dec. 27, 1947 at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
He is survived by three children, Jan Smith and her husband, Ray of Williamsport, Scott Rodgers and his wife, Cheryl of Greer, SC and Thomas Rodgers and his wife, Sharon of Hollidaysburg; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Mr. Rodgers was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings, Nan Barger, Jack Rodgers, Byrde Lansberry, Jim Rodgers and Bill Rodgers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Stump officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
