Camp Sandstone
Every time a person stays at Camp Sandstone in 2015, they receive a chance to win one free night stay in 2016. At the end of the year, the staff members will draw one name. Camp Sandstone is a rustic cabin rental with a private setting on five acres of wooded pines. It will comfortably sleep four guests and is pet friendly. Victorian Christmas Tours
Hagarty Mansion
The Victorian Christmas tours will be held Dec. 18-20, Dec. 25-27 and Jan. 1-3. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for children who are 12 years and under.
The mansion consists of 27 rooms and is decorated with 17 Victorian Christmas trees “with all the extras.” As well, mantles, stairways and chandeliers will be draped with garland, and the halls will be filled with sights, sounds and smells of the Christmas season.
Your self-guided tour will allow you to stroll through the mansion at your own pace. There will be non-interactive actors along the way dressed in Victorian-themed costumes, and you may run into a few ghostly spirits from Christmas Past.

Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre
Friday Night Live will offer a night of laughter Dec. 18 at the Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre in downtown Clearfield.
Friday Night Live is an open mic variety show featuring live comedy and music. Doors will open at 7 p.m. for the 7:30 p.m. show.
Admission is $5 with all proceeds benefiting the local non-profit arts center, CAST. Friday Night Live T-shirts will also be available for sale.
Organizers are always looking for stand-up comedians, sketch comedy, improv comedy, singers of funny songs, etc. to perform on stage.

DuBois Historical Society
Extended Hours
The DuBois Area Historical Society is extending its year to accommodate those looking for Christmas gifts.
The museum at 30 W. Long Ave., DuBois, will be open on Nov. 28 from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. and on Wednesdays in December from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Books and historical collectables are available for purchase, including the recently reprinted book, “The Hills of Home” by Jennie Dixon, and the 2016 DuBois Area Historical Society calendar “Making A Living: Mining Coal.”
With the exception of the dates listed, the DuBois Area Historical Society will be open by appointment only until April 1, 2016.
