Richard “Rick” L. Wareham, 68, of DuBois died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015 at his home.
Born Jan. 9, 1947, in Bradford, he was the son of Eugene and Mary (Pecora) Wareham. His father preceded him in death, and his mother survives and lives in Bradford.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Bradford and DuBois for 33 year. He enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by a son, Jacob M. Wareham of DuBois; a sister, Jeanne M. Herold and her husband, William of Glenpool, Okla.; his long-time companion, N.J. Whitsett of DuBois; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Wareham.
There will be no public visitation
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer officiating.
Full military honors will be accorded from the church by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery, Bradford.
