Todd ‘TD’ Freeland, 43, of Clearfield went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was born March 24, 1972, a son of Jim and Judy (Eckley) Freeland of Clearfield.
Mr. Freeland enjoyed his profession as a physical therapy assistant, where he loved working with his patients and they loved him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his buddies.
He was an avid rock climber who enjoyed hiking and simply spending time in God’s outdoors. But more than anything else, he most adored his children.
He loved coaching his boys in both wrestling and baseball, and he loved singing songs with his daughter. He was happiest when he was with them.
Mr. Freeland was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield. His faith was an important part of his life.
In addition to his parents, Jim and Judy Freeland, he is survived by his wife, Deborah (Gavlak) Freeland to whom he was wed May 1, 1999, and four children whom he loved, Caleb, Luke, Carter and Lizzy.
He is also survived by his sister, Dawna Ellis, his sister, Diane Hains and her husband, Tommy and his brother, Greg Freeland and his wife, Jennifer, all of Chesapeake, Va.; a mother-in-law, Faye Flickinger of Clearfield; a sister-in-law, Tina Reed and her husband, Dave of Olanta; four nephews and a niece.
Mr. Freeland was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents and his father-in-law, Robert Gavlak.
The family welcomes all family and friends to an open house reception to celebrate Mr. Freeland’s life in the Westminster Hall at the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield, on Wednesday, beginning at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Todd Freeland Children Fund, c/o Clearfield Bank and Trust, 11 North Second St., Clearfield.
