CLEARFIELD – Joseph B. Bower Jr., president and chief executive officer of CNB Bank, recently announced the promotions of Ruth Anne Ryan-Catalano to the position of vice president/retail banking and Tyler Kirkwood to community office manager/regional branch administrator.
In her position, Ryan-Catalano’s responsibilities will focus on enhancing the bank’s Universal Associate initiative and improving the visibility of CNB’s retail offerings across all of CNB’s bank brands.
Ryan-Catalano joined CNB Bank in 1996 to develop the automobile leasing program and dealer center. Later, she was instrumental in developing an annuity sales program within the bank.
In 2003, she was promoted and moved into the area of branch administration as assistant vice president/regional manager and in 2013, she was promoted to vice president/regional branch administrator.
“Ruth Anne has been instrumental in CNB’s continued growth and development,” said Bower. “She has worked diligently to bring quality customer service and excellence in all of our branches, and I know she will continue to work hard to further excel the customer experience.”
A native of Clearfield, Ryan-Catalano graduated from the St. Francis Catholic High School in 1980, and in 1989, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.
Since then, she has earned five banking diplomas from the Pennsylvania Banker’s Association/Professional Development Network (PBA/PDN) to include General Banking, Bank Operations, Consumer Lending, Commercial Lending and Banking & Finance. She also completed PBA’s Advanced School of Banking in 2008.
Ryan-Catalano currently serves on the Lock Haven University Clearfield campus Advisory Council and volunteers with the Clearfield Area United Way, Clearfield Salvation Army and other various community activities and bank-related educational events at local schools and libraries. She is a member of the St. Francis Roman Catholic Church of Clearfield and resides in Clearfield with her husband, John.
In his position, Kirkwood combines all of his financial services experience to oversee the operations of the bank’s southern market, which includes offices in Clearfield, Philipsburg, Osceola Mills, Madera, Houtzdale, Karthaus, Kylertown, Indiana and Northern Cambria. He also manages and opens new deposit accounts and loan accounts at the bank’s branch office located at 101 Industrial Park Rd. in Clearfield.
Kirkwood began his career at CNB in 2007 as a part-time teller, working through college on his summer breaks. In 2012, he completed the bank’s Management Training Program and was then promoted to community office assistant manager.
“Since joining CNB, Tyler has demonstrated his desire to learn by continually growing his knowledge of the financial services industry,” said Bower. “Through his strong work ethic and positive attitude, Tyler has successfully met the challenges and responsibilities associated with delivering great customer service, and I am confident he will continue the high standards that Ruth Anne has set.”
Kirkwood is a 2007 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and continued his education at Grove City College, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2011. A native of Frenchville, Kirkwood is a member of Karthaus Community Alliance Church. He serves as a Clearfield YMCA board member and volunteers his time as a Clearfield Junior High football coach, as well as at other various community activities and bank-related educational events at local schools and libraries.
