CLEARFIELD – During Centralized Court on Wednesday, the preliminary hearing was continued until July 16 for a Clearfield man accused of sexual assault.
Kyle Andrew Wilson, 20, of Clearfield has been charged with statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. He’s incarcerated at the Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on May 28, Clearfield Borough police received a report about an alleged sexual assault. Further, the alleged victim, a 14-year-old girl, told police she’d been sexually assaulted by Wilson.
During an interview at the police station, Wilson denied having any sexual contact with the alleged victim. Police then responded to the hospital to interview the alleged victim.
On the date in question, the alleged victim said Wilson pushed her to the back room of a trailer and forced himself on her. After being startled, the alleged victim said Wilson got up and left.
On May 29, police went to the CCJ to interview Wilson about the alleged sexual assault. Afterward he was also requested to take a polygraph, which he stated he wouldn’t do. At that point, Wilson claimed the alleged victim tried to engage in sexual contact with him.
On June 5, Trooper Kimberly J. Ronan of the Clearfield-based state police interviewed Wilson. During the interview, Wilson said he and the alleged victim had consensual sexual intercourse.
On June 17, the alleged victim submitted a written statement to police. She said when Wilson asked her if she wanted to have sex on May 28, she told him “no.”
Wilson, she alleged, threatened to hurt her and this scared her. The alleged victim told police she then said “fine” and had sex with Wilson so he wouldn’t hurt her.
