Vivian L. Hyatt, 89, of DuBois died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway.
Born Dec. 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late W. Kenneth and Florence (Heberling) Hyatt.
She was a graduate of the Sandy Township High School. She had worked at a local laundry in DuBois for years and briefly at Airco Spear Carbon.
She was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. She loved cooking, sewing and keeping house for her sisters. She was a gentleperson and had a kind disposition.
She is survived by three sisters, her twin Virginia and Doris Hyatt, both of DuBois and Phyllis Pierce of Erie; a niece, Nancy Baker and her husband, Neil of West Columbia, SC; a nephew, Charles Pierce and his wife, Cheryl of Erie; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. June 24 at the Lakeside United Methodist Church with Pastor Robert Zilhaver officiating.
Burial was in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be placed with the charity of the donor’s choice.
