Obituary Notice: Thomas E. Morrison

Thomas E. Morrison, 85, of Irvona died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at UPMC Altoona Hospital.

He was born Sept. 4 1928, son of Meryl and Francena (Shank) Morrison. He married Donna Kitchen Sept 5, 1950, in Winchester Va.

Mr. Morrison was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a life member of the Coalport VFW Post 7043. Mr. Morrison was a graduate of Beccaria Township High School in the class of 1946

He worked as an auto technician for Kitchen’s Garage for 60 years

Surviving are his wife; a son, Thomas E. (Debra Schenk) Morrison; a daughter, Karen (Ray) Warfield; a son, Jon (Pam Hull) Morrison; a son, Donald (Amy Shotz) Morrison; a brother, Billy (Carol Leyo) Morrison; a sister, Mary Lou (Donald) Kruise; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Philip Morrison; a brother, Benjamin Morrison; a sister, Norma Martin; and two grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Monday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc., Irvona.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Lloyd-Dimmick Funeral Home Inc. with the Rev. Paul Jacobson officiating.

Burial will follow in the LaJose Cemetery, LaJose.
