State police at Clearfield
- No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle accident occurred Sunday on the Shawville – Croft Highway in Goshen Township. Michael S. McClure, 50, of Smokerun was traveling eastbound when he took his eyes off the roadway. His vehicle subsequently crossed over into the westbound lane and struck a guiderail. It traveled through the guiderail and rolled down an embankment. McClure was cited for the accident.
State police at DuBois
- An incident of terroristic threats occurred May 13 at the Jeff Tech School in Winslow Township. Further, a written bomb threat was located in the school restroom. State police noted a check of the school’s premises had negative results. The incident remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An incident of criminal mischief/harassment occurred May 9 at a residence along South Continental Drive in Union Township. During the incident, two people engaged in a physical confrontation, which resulted in property damage. Both people will face the appropriate charges through the district court.
- An incident of burglary occurred May 15 along SR 28 in Warsaw Township. During the incident, someone entered the victim’s residence through an unlocked window and removed two containers of change. They also removed a lockbox, which contained change. The total amount stolen was approximately $500, state police said.
- An incident of simple assault occurred Saturday outside a residence on Evergreen Farm Road in Washington Township. During the incident, a known male and the victim allegedly engaged in a verbal dispute; it then escalated into a physical fight near an open fire in the yard. The victim sustained severe burns on both arms and a swollen eye as a result. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday in the area of Pine and North Centre streets in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 21-year-old Philipsburg man was allegedly observed operating his vehicle without its headlights on at nighttime. He also allegedly traveled the wrong way on a one-way street. Further investigation revealed the man was under the influence of alcohol and he was taken into custody. He was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center for blood testing; charges are currently pending blood test results.
- On Monday, a Sentry safe was located at the end of a cul-da-sac on Buckhorn Road in Halfmoon Township. Anyone with information about the safe is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of burglary occurred sometime between April 13 and May 22 at a camp on Pigs Ear Road in Highland Township. During the incident, someone entered a camp by kicking in its wooden door. Once inside they apparently slept in the beds; their belongings were left behind. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of theft/forgery occurred sometime between May 13 and May 17 at a residence along state Route 948 in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a known 17-year-old Ridgway girl allegedly took two checks and forged the victim’s name to receive $70. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- An incident of public drunkenness occurred Saturday in the area of the Portland Mills Railroad trestle along the Clarion River in Ridgway Township. During the incident, a 33-year-old St. Marys man was manifestly under the influence of alcohol and causing a disturbance at an emergency scene. He was taken into custody and charged through the district court.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report about a domestic dispute in the Sheetz parking lot. The male and female were separated; the female will be cited for disorderly conduct.
- Police received a report about an explosion in the area of the 9-1-1 Center. Upon arrival police couldn’t find any evidence of an explosion.
- Police received a report about a vehicle accident involving a bicyclist in the area of West Fifth and Clearfield streets. Further, a bicyclist struck a vehicle that was traveling on Clearfield Street. The juvenile was transported to Clearfield Penn Highlands for treatment of injuries.
- Police received a report about a female who was causing a disturbance on East Locust Street. The female had left the area prior to police arrival.
- Police received a report about a neighbor dispute at an East Locust Street Apartment. Police contacted both parties and resolved the problem.
- Police received a report about a stolen bike from the Crossroads on North Third Street.
- Police stopped the operator of a vehicle who was unable to drive on the right side of the roadway. Further, the female driver was found to be under the influence and arrested for suspicion of DUI
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident involving a utility pole on West Market Street. Police made contact with the driver of the vehicle.
- Police received a report about a stolen cellular phone. Further, police were able to retrieve the phone from a known person.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred at a local school.
- Police received a report about a 9-1-1 hang-up call from a business. Further, police found the business had experienced issues with its phone.
- Police received a traffic complaint that occurred on the Clearfield – Woodland Highway.
- Police received a report about an incident of theft by deception that occurred at the Crown Crest Cemetery.
- Police received a report about a Clearfield Middle School student who was allegedly threatening another student. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
- Police have initiated an investigation into a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot.
- Police responded to Times Square for a courtesy transport for two individuals.
- Police received a report about an open door in the Hyde area.
- Police received a report about two, separate custody disputes. All parties were referred to the appropriate agencies.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Mann Road. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

- Police received a report about a motor vehicle accident along the Clearfield – Curwensville Highway. No injuries were reported.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Susquehanna Avenue. However, police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about an incident of harassment in the area of South Second Street. The incident was handled at the scene.
- Police received a report about a possible drunken motorist in the area of South Second Street. Clearfield Borough police located and stopped the vehicle in their jurisdiction.
Curwensville Borough
- During a traffic stop, police found several items of drug paraphernalia and controlled substances in a vehicle. The operator was turned over to a constable and transported to the jail on an active warrant.
- Police have advised that extra patrols will be provided in the area of Summit Street. Further, police indicated that all-terrain vehicles and off-the-road motorcycles have been operated in the area.
