Evelyn L. (Remeselnik) Bungo, 84, of Houtzdale died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at UPMC Altoona.
She was born May 1, 1930 in Madera, a daughter of the late Michael S. and Anna M. (Birus) Remeselnik.
She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey. She was a 1948 graduate of the former Madera High School.
Mrs. Bungo was a homemaker and also worked in department store sales in Sterling Heights, Mich.
She was a devoted sister and loving aunt. She was willing to help anyone in need.
In 1964, she married to Frank Bungo, who preceded her in death on July 7, 1969.
She’s survived by two sisters, Anna Burdick of Evart, Mich. and Shirley Shedlock (Joseph) of Ramey. She’s also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Andrew Remeselnik and five sisters, Margret Desso, Agnes Grzbeack, Frances Copek, Eleanor McGlynn and Elizabeth Wilder.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Zab Amar as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
