Robert E. “Buzz” Arnold Sr., 72, of Madera, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born Dec. 15, 1941, in Niagara Falls, NY, he was a son of the late Thomas W. and Dorothy M. (Taylor) Arnold.
He retired as a tractor-trailer and log truck driver. He enjoyed playing pool and cards.
On Sept. 21, 1963, at Niagara Falls, NY, he married Helen L. (Quade) Arnold, who preceded him in death on Feb. 26, 2011.
He’s survived by two daughters and four sons, Jennie E. Ball (Otto) of Olanta; Sandra L. Clark (Dennis) and Donald W. “Lumpy” Arnold (Lynnie), both of Houtzdale; Jeffrey W. Arnold Sr. (Rose) and Brian M. Arnold, both of Madera; Shawn P. Arnold (Judith) of Frenchville; and a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Arnold of Clearfield
Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and a sister and brother, Clara Shimmel of Clearfield and John G. Arnold (Donna) of Venus, Fla.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert E. “Beatle” Arnold Jr on March 21, 2002 and a grandson, Andrew T. Arnold on March 11, 1986.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., Madera.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kruise Funeral Home Inc., with his son-in-law, Otto Ball, officiating. Burial will follow in Alexander Cemetery, Madera.
