Gaffney first Spike taken in NFL draft

2012 State College Spikes outfielder Tyler Gaffney became the first Spikes alum ever drafted by a National Football League team on Saturday when the Carolina Panthers selected him in the sixth round as the 204th overall selection at the 2014 NFL Draft.
