FOX TOWNSHIP – A pick-up truck was destroyed by a fire that also damaged a residence after starting at 4:13 a.m. Friday at 107 Fairview Rd. in Fox Township, reported the state police at Ridgway.
The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal and the Fox Township Fire Department investigated the cause of the fire. The fire destroyed a 2000 Ford F-150 pick-up truck and also damaged the residence of Brian W. Thompson of Kersey.
The truck was parked in Thompson’s driveway. It wasn’t running when the fire started in the engine compartment. Radiant heat from the truck fire caused damage to the exterior of Thompson’s residence, state police said.
