PHILADELPHIA – The milkshakes. A must have. The grilled cheese. A must eat. And the 1000 pound butter sculpture. A must see . . .  all at the Pennsylvania (PA) Farm Show from Jan. 4-11, 2014.
The sculpture, sponsored by Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program, will be unveiled Thursday at 11 a.m. Each year, the theme of the sculpture is kept a secret, adding to the excitement. New this year will be take-home cards featuring a photo of the sculpture, and a fun contest, so be sure to follow the Butter Sculpture on Facebook at Facebook.com/ButterSculpture and on Twitter at Twitter.com/ButterSculpture to stay up-to-date.
After taking in the spectacular Butter Sculpture, visitors to Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association’s dairyspot.com booth should come prepared to move to the beat of Drums Alive® and then refuel with free chocolate milk, which will be sampled daily from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Before leaving the booth, visitors can enter to win an official NFL® autographed football.
Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association is proud to be a sponsor of the innovative Today’s Agriculture display, a 13,000 square foot exhibit, which features a glimpse into the process of raising food for a growing population. Dairy farmers will be available as a part of the Today’s Agriculture program to answer consumers’ questions about how milk makes its way from farm to table.
Mid-Atlantic Dairy Association and Pennsylvania Dairy Promotion Program are the local planning and management organizations funded by dairy farmer checkoff dollars. They work closely with Dairy Management Inc.™ and are responsible for increasing demand for dairy products on behalf of Pennsylvania’s dairy farmers. For more information, visit www.dairyspot.com.
