JOHNSONBURG – The investigation is ongoing after a fire ignited July 12 in a tunnel system under the chip yard at the Domtar Paper Mill, located at 100 Center St., in Johnsonburg Borough, according to the state police at Ridgway.
The fire is being investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit, the Johnsonburg Fire Department and Domtar. It’s currently not yet safe to enter the tunnel system for investigative purposes, state police said.
A damage estimate is not yet available. Further information will be released at a later date, state police said.
