Obituary Notice: Donna M Reed

Donna Marie Reed, 83, of Curwensville died Friday, July 5, 2013 at her residence.

Born April 3, 1930 in Bridgeport, Pike Township, she was the daughter of Charles and Martha (Thompson) Hauck.

Mrs. Reed was a nurse’s aide and provided private duty nursing.  She was affiliated with the Bible Fellowship Church, Draucker’s Woods, Luthersburg.

She was wed to John Reed on July 7, 1952 and who preceded her in death on June 26, 2012.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, George F. Reed; and a daughter, Jane Louise Reed.

Surviving are five children, Donna Jean Bloom and her husband, Albert of Chestnut Grove, John W. Reed Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Clearfield, James E. Reed and Kenneth D. Reed and his wife, Gail, both of Windy Hill, Curwensville and Ruth Evelyn Breth and her husband, Paul of Grampian.

Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Evelyn Vaughn and her husband, Gerald of Florida.

At the request of Mrs. Reed, there will be no public visitation and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second St., Clearfield, PA  16830; the Clearfield Foundation for Health – Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, PA 16830; or the Clearfield Hospice Circle of Friends, c/o 286 Pauline Dr., Clearfield, PA  16830.

The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
