HERSHEY – Clearfield County Fair Queen, Misti Bruner will be competing in the 27th annual Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Contest held today through Jan. 27 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center, Hershey.

The contest is held in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs Convention. Bruner will compete against 55 young women from fairs across the state.

The contest consists of a written essay, speech on the topic, “Why You Should Come to My Fair,” an interview with a panel of judges and a personal introduction and evening gown presentation.  The purpose of the state’s Fair Queen program is to provide educational opportunities for young women and to promote its top industries: agriculture and tourism.

In attendance will be the Clearfield County Fair and Park Board and the Clearfield County Fair Queen Committee.
