An incident of DUI occurred at 3:55 a.m. Friday on Good Street in Houtzdale Borough. Shane Evans, 19, of Madera was involved in a motor vehicle accident and arrested for consumption of liquor or malt or brewed beverages as well as suspected DUI. Both Kristin N. Murphy, 20, of Houtzdale and Becca R. Twoey, 20, of Philipsburg were charged with consumption of liquor or malt or brewed beverages. Charges were filed through the district court.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 7 a.m. Dec. 9 and 3 p.m. Dec. 16 at private property along Twoey Hollow Road in Boggs Township. Someone cut down three oak trees on a 42-year-old Lititz man’s property and then fled the scene. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Clearfield-based state police at 814-857-3800.
No injuries were reported following a two-vehicle accident at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday on Carbide Road at its intersection with the Bloomington-Glen Richey Highway in Pike Township. Robert J. Gregory, 66, of Grampian was traveling westbound and making a right-hand turn. At that time, Carol L. Elensky, 64, of Olanta was traveling southbound and approaching the stop sign. Gregory was traveling too fast for the conditions on the snow-covered road when he made the right turn. His vehicle slid across the roadway and struck the Elensky vehicle. The Gregory vehicle sustained minor damage, while that driven by Elensky had moderate damage. The Elensky vehicle was towed from the scene. All occupants were wearing their seatbelts. Gregory will be cited for failure to drive at a safe speed through the district court in Clearfield.
