A Spafford Road resident reported Friday that she’d received several phone calls from a man who claimed to be with the American Red Cross. He was soliciting donations and became more aggressive with each call in trying to get the woman to provide him with her credit card information. Upon researching the phone number, the investigation revealed the call originated from the Dominican Republic.
A 23-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Friday she was being harassed by a known 30-year-old Clearfield woman who had sent numerous derogatory text messages to her.
On Friday a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old Treasure Lake man stopped to make a turn off Shaffer Road and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by a 29-year-old Ridgway man. A vehicle driven by a 54-year-old DuBois man was then unable to avoid hitting the Ridgway man’s vehicle. No injuries and moderate damage were reported.
Police responded to an Ohio Avenue residence on Friday for a 911 hang-up call. The call was found to be accidental.
On Friday, a 34-year old DuBois man’s vehicle slid on Coral Reef Road in Treasure Lake and came to a rest in the median.
A reckless driver was reportedly traveling through the city and into the township on Saturday. Police located the 18-year-old Weedville man at McDonalds. He admitted to driving in an aggressive manner. Charges will be filed.
A vehicle driven by a 59-year-old pulled out into the path of a vehicle driven by a 48-year-old Dubois man while exiting Interstate 80 onto state Route 255 on Saturday. The two vehicles collided, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported.
A 70-year-old Treasure Lake woman reported Saturday that someone was fraudulently using her social security number.
A domestic dispute occurred Saturday in Treasure Lake. A 53-year-old man and his 23-year-old son engaged in a physical fight after an argument. The 23-year-old had is shoulder dislocated. The situation was handled without incident.
A 22-year-old New Kensington woman reported Saturday that a male who was a part of the group she was with in the cabins at Treasure Lake was intoxicated and harassing her. She did not want police to confront him directly.
Police were called to a domestic dispute Sunday at the Clarion Motel lobby. A 22-year-old Weedville woman and a 25-year-old Brockport man were arguing over stopping at the motel overnight after leaving a party. The two parties separated for the evening and the situation was handled without incident.
A 66-year-old Rockton man reported that while traveling on Rockton Road on Sunday, he hit an unknown object that was in the road, damaging his vehicle.
