KARTHAUS TOWNSHIP – No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday on the Quehanna Highway in Karthaus Township, according to the Clearfield-based state police.
Devon T. Tarner, 28, of Frenchville was traveling southbound when his vehicle began sliding on the wet roadway. It exited the roadway via the west berm and struck a guiderail.
At that point, the Tarner vehicle re-entered the roadway, sliding across both lanes. It continued to slide in a southern direction for approximately 100 feet, where it exited the east berm and struck a tree head-on.
Neither Tarner nor his passenger, Katie J. Lenhart, 36, of Frenchville was injured. Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident. Tarner will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic through the district court.
