CLEARFIELD COUNTY – A local doctor has voluntarily surrendered his medical license amidst an investigation through the state Attorney General’s Office.
Dr. Thomas Radecki of Clarion had offices in DuBois, Clarion, Kane and Seneca.
Radecki prescribed suboxone and subutex to his patients.
In a previous interview with WJAC-TV, Radecki said the drugs were used for treating those with opioid dependency.
The DuBois clinic opened in March of this year.
Radecki previously told WJAC-TV that he could treat a maximum of 1,000 patients at each of his clinics. The facility quickly closed in June following a search conducted by the Attorney General’s office.
Authorities said evidence was seized from all four of his offices and at his home in Clarion.
According to the Clarion County District Attorney, Radecki is under investigation after allegedly over prescribing medications and trading drugs for sex.
The Department of State and the Pennsylvania Board of Medicine said Radecki voluntarily surrendered his license because he engaged in immoral and unprofessional conduct.
The investigation through the state Attorney General’s office continues.
No charges have been filed against Radecki.
