Elwood A. Rowles , 82 of Morrisdale, formerly of Mineral Springs, died on May 13, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on July 11, 1929 in Pine Top, a son of the late Chance and Mabel (Brown) Rowles.
Mr. Rowles was employed as a truck driver for numerous companies around the area.
He is survived by three children Richard Rowles and wife Colleen of Mineral Springs, Cheryl McCluskey of Philipsburg and Stephen Rowles of Mineral Springs and his companion Pam DeGresse of Morrisdale; a daughter-in-law Karen Rice of Osceola Mills; seven grandchildren, Dennis and Michael Couturiaux, Rhonda Aveni, Denise Putt, Stephen Jr., John Allen and Ashley Rowles; ten great grandchildren; three brothers, Gerald, Clair and Wayne Rowles; two sisters Mary Rowles and Nancy Maines; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Alice Marie (Stephens) Rowles on April 15, 1966 and whom he wed on July 9, 1950; and three brothers and two sisters.
At the request of Mr. Rowles, there will be no public services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield.
