Obituary Notice: Helen S. Muhaw

Helen S. (Olenoski) Muhaw, 82 of Beccaria, passed away at 5:45 p.m., May 14, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born on Jan. 28, 1930 at Osceola Mills, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Anna (Drochak) Olenoski. She wed Joseph Muhaw, Sr. on Sept. 5, 1953 in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey.

Helen worked in Housekeeping at the former Presbyterian Home of Philipsburg for 16 years. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey and past member of the Croatian Club, Smoke Run and enjoyed making handmade loom carpets and playing Bingo.

Helen is survived by two sons Joseph Muhaw, Jr. of Beccaria and John Muhaw of Madera; and a grandson, Nicholas Muhaw.
She is also survived by the following sisters and a brother; Dolores Bradford of Ventnor City, NJ, Cathryn Olenoski of East Lake, OH, Theresa Kula and her husband Lou of Saint Charles, IL, Jeanette Gemerek of Bamberg, SC and Richard Olenoski and his wife Darlene of Genoa City, IL. And numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Muhaw, Sr on Nov. 2, 1977 and four brothers, Mike, Pete, Mark and Joseph and four sisters, Eva Gustkey, Pauline Wisniewski, Mary Muckey and Annie Kopcik

Friends will be received at the Kruise Funeral Homes, Inc., Ramey on Friday, May 18 from 7-9 p.m. and on May 19 from 9-11 a.m..
Funeral Services will be held on May 19 at 11 a.m. in the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc Ramey with Fr. Anthony Balistreri officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Society, 383 Rolling Ridge Drive, State College, PA 16801.
